Philip is a partner, specialising in the music, media and fashion industries, and has gained particular expertise representing record producers, songwriters, photographers and creative agencies.

Philip trained at city firm Denton Hall (now Dentons) and following qualification in 1993, worked at boutique music practice, Compton Carr, before joining Statham Gill Davies in 1997.

Philip has built up an extensive list of clients across a broad range of disciplines, including advising music publishers and record labels on the sale/purchase of catalogues and carrying out the “due diligence” report on those catalogues. Philip trained at city firm Denton Hall (now Dentons) and following qualification in 1993, worked at boutique music practice, Compton Carr, before joining Statham Gill Davies in 1997.

Philip has built up an extensive list of clients across a broad range of disciplines, including advising music publishers and record labels on the sale/purchase of catalogues and carrying out the “due diligence” report on those catalogues. He also advises celebrities on branding and endorsement agreements and advises promoters in respect of sponsorship arrangements for the UK’s premier music festivals. Philip acts for writer/producers such as Jimmy Hogarth and Simon Franglen, photographers David Sims and Miles Aldridge and creative agencies D+V Management and JN Productions.
